Psychotherapy

I provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Treatment focuses on helping clients confront feared situations, reduce avoidance and compulsive behaviors, develop greater tolerance for uncertainty and distress, and engage in activities consistent with their personal values and goals.

Clients Served

I specialize in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and related conditions in children, adolescents, and adults, with particular expertise in pediatric OCD and anxiety disorders.

I also have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, trauma-related symptoms, and difficulties associated with life transitions.

Appointments

Psychotherapy sessions are generally 60 minutes and typically scheduled weekly. Appointments are available in person or through telehealth, with community or home-based services offered when clinically appropriate.

Fees and Insurance

Private-Pay Fees Effective January 1, 2027

  • Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation (60 minutes): $300

  • Individual Psychotherapy (60 minutes): $250

I am an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI). I also accept many Blue Cross Blue Shield plans issued in other states when coverage is available through BCBSRI.

Coverage and benefits vary by plan. Clients are responsible for verifying their insurance benefits and understanding their financial responsibility, including applicable copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. Private-pay clients and clients using out-of-network benefits are responsible for payment in full at the time of service. Clients with out-of-network benefits may be eligible for partial reimbursement, although reimbursement is not guaranteed. A superbill can be provided upon request.

Eligible Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds may be used for qualifying expenses.

Clinical Supervision

I provide individual clinical supervision to prelicensed mental health clinicians pursuing licensure as Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

My supervision approach emphasizes clinical assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, ethical decision-making, and the application of evidence-based psychotherapy, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Supervision provides an opportunity to strengthen clinical skills, develop professional judgment, and receive guidance regarding challenging clinical situations.

Clinicians are responsible for confirming applicable supervision and licensure requirements with their respective state licensing boards before beginning supervision.

Fees for Services

Individual Clinical Supervision (60 minutes): $125

Clinical supervision is a private-pay professional service and is not billed to health insurance.

Training and Consultation

I offer clinical consultation and professional training to mental health clinicians, groups, and organizations seeking to strengthen their understanding and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and related conditions.

Clinical Consultation

I provide individual consultation to mental health professionals seeking guidance with clinical assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I also offer consultation to parents and caregivers seeking information about a child's symptoms, potential treatment options, or whether psychotherapy may be appropriate.

Consultation is educational and advisory in nature and does not constitute psychotherapy, formal diagnosis, or ongoing treatment.

Individual Consultation (60 minutes): $250

Consultation services are private-pay and are not billed to health insurance.
